Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 9 - Downpipe 321 and titanium exhaust system
We would like to show you products made for the rally legend "Ilia Tsarski".
For his racing Mitsubishi EVO 9 we fabricated a downpipe and titanium exhaust system. The reason why we chose these materials is as with every rally car, these components are exposed to an exceptionally high termal and mechanical load as a result of using systems like anti-lag, launch control, and the like.
The other major goal was to achieve a higher permeability (flow) and then to squeeze even more torque while decreasing the weight of the details in the same time.
The tubes are 80mm in diameter but due to the pipes' quality their walls are very thin which is why we achieved a weight of 3.2 kg for the downpipe and 1.9 kg for the titanium exhaust pipe. This way we managed to reduce the weight by 4.5 kg compared to the previous concept used in this car.
